Groundwater Model

What is a Groundwater Model?

A groundwater model is an important tool for protecting our complex drinking water resource while supporting growth in our community. The Wellhead Protection Program has been collecting groundwater data since 2006 to understand fluctuating water table elevations and monitor quality. An updated groundwater model will be used to evaluate risks for a variety of potential threats and to re-delineate current Wellhead Protection (WHP) Zones using best available science.
